Dreaming of Paris

A cappuccino could be something you always drink, or something new you’ve decided to try out if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous. Either way, a simple choice of whether not to have a cappuccino in a café with a friend or on your own shows a lot about who you are. If you always drink it, why? Do you need it to wake you up because you can never get a good night’s sleep because you stay up worrying about things, do you just like the taste so stay in the comfort zone of choosing something you like? Or are you normally a boring old tea-drinker who has decided to branch out and try something crazy like a cappuccino instead of your usual twinings or pg tips? Something as simple as choosing a drink in a café can reveal a lot about yourself, to yourself and to others if they care to look close enough. Which got me thinking, what do I want people to see in me? A boring old person who sticks to what they know because they are scared of what people may think if they do something differently? Or a person who does what they like to try out new things and do things to make them happy without caring what other people think about it? Personally, I choose the latter. I’ve spent too long conforming to a ‘socially accepted’ appearance, so now it’s time to be me and do what makes me happy. I might even go wild and try out all the different types of coffees out there…lattés, mochas, espressos, you name it! Next time you’re in a little cozy corner café, take time to think about what kind of drink you’ve chosen…what kind of person does it show you are? And most importantly, do you like what it shows about you?
God has a plan for everyone and He will reveal them, it may take some time, but He will.

Australia, Zanzibar and the Galapagos Islands :)
But mostly Australia :)
No one is truly doing very well. One surely isn’t here to do well. Surely we have another purpose: Perhaps to know who one is, to know that which makes us suffer and that which causes suffering for others; maybe to love someone… Perfection is the ability to admit imperfection.
